Ranby House School - 'Fiddler on the Roof'

At Ranby House School, Year 7 delighted two full houses with their amazing performance of the well known musical ‘Fiddler on the Roof Jr’, in the schools’ superb theatre within the dedicated Performing Arts Centre. The story centres on Tevye, his wife Golde, their five daughters, and his attempts to cope with their harsh existence under Tsarist rule and to maintain his family and religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives in the small Jewish village of Anatevka in Russia.

Will Clothier played the role of Tevye superbly and his wife Golde was played by Emily Blackmore who put in a wonderful and convincing performance as the mother of five daughters. Having only worked on the production this term, the entire cast must be highly commended for their performance which included much singing and dancing.
