Ranby House 'Mummers Group' Raise Funds

The Ranby House School “Mummers Group” celebrated its twenty-third year of operation by performing "St. George and the Dragon" – a traditional Mummers’ Play - a total of seven times in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the charity having been chosen by the pupil performers.

The performances were held at a number of private houses as well as the school. Unfortunately, some of the performances before Christmas had to be cancelled due to the snow.

However, despite the inclement weather, the total raised was £1320 (a new highest figure for this event!). The picture shows the children with the cheque, for an impressive amount, before it is presented to a representative of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
