Music from around the world comes to The Hawthorns School

Year Seven pupils at The Hawthorns enjoyed a rather unusual music lesson this week as they were taught how to play a variety of instruments from Indonesia. The Gamelan workshop gave all the pupils a chance to explore different instruments and learn a little more about alternative ways of creating music. Helen Hankey, Head of Music, said “All the pupils really enjoyed the experience and it was a great opportunity to try something new!”
