Why IAPS?
The Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) is a professional association for Heads of independent schools catering for children from 2 to 16. IAPS has more than 600 members, around 30 of which are based internationally. IAPS is committed to excellence in education and seeks to promote the highest professional standards in prep school education. The quality of members and schools is continuously monitored to ensure they meet strict membership requirements.
Although each IAPS school has its own ethos, they are all committed to the pursuit of an excellent, well-rounded education - valuing academic success and the personal development of each individual child through an unrivalled range of opportunities in sport, music, modern and classical languages, art, drama, science, technology and the early years.
Excellence across these areas depends on the schools being free from government interference and with fewer financial and other resourcing constraints than state schools.
